Gwen Zamora's International Horror Movie "The Witness" Receives A Rating from CEB
"The Witness", graded "A" by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), had a very successful VIP screening on Monday night at Resorts World Cinema in Pasay City.
The whole cast and crew led by the movie's lead star and Kapuso actress Gwen Zamora, the whole Indonesian cast and crew which inlude director Muhammad Yusuf, actors Agung Saga, Kimberly Ryder, Marcelino Lefrandt, and some of GMA-7's executives and contract stars and media were treated to a roller coaster ride of suspense, thriller, horror, love and drama.
Gwen, the only Filipino actor in the cast, is such a revelation. Her effective portrayal of Angel Isagani- the lone survivor in the brutal massacre of her whole family - could earn her an acting recognitions here and abroad come award-giving season.
Not your typical horror movie, "The Witness" tells about the story of Angel Flordeliza Isagani, a half-Filipina, half-American hotel manager who is haunted by a strange dream about a young man named Aris who committed suicide by firing his own gun into his mouth.
One night, Angel's family were brutally massacred inside their own house. Her parents, her only sister Safara, their maid and security guard were all killed. Being the only survivor in the killings of her family and the bizarre dream that keeps coming over and over, she then decide to uncover all the mystery by herself.
Who is Aris in Angel's life? What does the strange dreams wanted to convey? What's behind the grotesque massacre of her family?
Find out the answer this coming March 21, 2012 as "The Witness" opens in cinemas nationwide.
Produced by Skylar Pictures and released by GMA Films, "The Witness" will also be shown in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand and Hong Kong.
